Interactive Brokers--Wanting Mutual Fund Investors
This link below is a little old (from May), but I did not know (until now) that IB was beginning to make a play for mutual fund investors. They supposedly now have a large selection of NTF funds and charge a competitive $14.95 transaction fee for non-NTF mutual funds. That seems like a nice price point (cheaper than Etrade's $19.99). Has anyone used their mutual fund platform since they have revamped it? What were your thoughts? Also, they used to have a monthly fee you were charged if you were not making a certain number of trades every month. However, there is a plan (IBKR Lite) that no longer has this fee, as I understand it.
