Wow.....that is going back many a year.  Wagering strategies are interesting.  Every bettor has his own unique style as do Owners of thoroughbreds.  It is a most interesting game!

Re: Market

Well.....futures are down this evening.  Perhaps an indication that tomorrow might see the Market give back some of the gains of today.

Up and down markets are the mainstay.

@kzug your crystal ball did not fail us!!! After the youthful post I was afraid we had slipped into a Twilight Zone. Now that the Sun has continued for two straight days to rise in the East, I once again feel comfortable sitting on my front porch. 😁

Rest assured.  If the sun were to 'decide' to rise in the west, that 2,000 mph speed change would probably be noticeable - for the split second you'd be alive to notice it...  8^b

Another bold prediction - tomorrow, the US markets won't really move.  Hang on to your <choice of clothing>...

I for one vote that you not hold on tight to your skippies. I tried once {AND ONLY ONCE} when I was younger. It was not fun. In fact it turned into a whole lot of NOT FUN.

Re: Market

If the US markets were open today, today would have been a good day based on the US futures and the actions in the foreign markets.   https://www.cnbc.com/pre-markets/

Re: Market

It seems that SP500 may be above 200-dMA at the open and let us see if it closes above that. Nasdaq Comp has been above 200-dMA since mid-April. Other indexes [DJ Industrials, R2000, DJ Transports, DJ Utilities] remain far below 200-dMA; DJ Utilities are hanging around 50-DMA. This bifurcation in the market has to be resolved - either the leaders pull up the laggards, or the laggards pull down the leaders.
