We have several accounts with unmanaged assets. Is there any report that will show all the unmanaged assets and which accounts have the holding across the whole practice? If not, we would very much like such a report. It would help us greatly to verify we have all our unmanaged assets correctly set up in Morningstar.

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately there isn't a report that will list all unmanaged assets across your practice. However, there are two ways to indirectly find unmanaged assets in Office Desktop. To find them starting from an account, you can open an individual account’s Holding Summary page any unmanaged assets will be greyed out. To find them starting from a holding in question, you can go to the Portfolio Management Tab > Securities in Accounts > Right click > View Accounts with Holding > see if the holding is greyed out.
To propose this feature for Office Cloud, you are welcome to post this on the Morningstar Product Ideas board.

It wouldn't help on the performance side, but there is a report in desktop that will give you a list of any holdings excluded from billing as of a given date. To get to this report from the Client Management tab, go to Reports > Billing Management > Management Fee Position Exclusion report. Assuming these unmanaged assets are excluded from everything, this report may save you some time in finding them.
For anyone else that is looking for a report showing unmanaged assets, the idea request is listed here: https://community.morningstar.com/t5/Morningstar-Product-Ideas/Unmanaged-Asset-Report/idi-p/1582
