My YTD should be correct along with the total. But as I said in an earlier post I left out my div/ Cap Gains last month. So my MTD is inflated.

Well MK has surged to the lead. Can he hold it? Does he have a target on his back?

As usual the image can be selected and will enlarge. A good June to everyone.

Re: 2020 Challenge - Participants

6 June 2020

While I generally do not suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out), I share Fred 495’s view of preserving the retirement funds, and would like to have about a third of my portfolio in lower volatility equity funds.  I do suffer from WFTOSTD ( waiting for the other shoe to drop) and find myself wanting to get back into equities, but I really think we are only in the third inning of some very bad economic times.  So after reading an article in MFO about GAVAX, I have decided to hire some help with the equity problem with an asset allocator.  The graph of returns for YTD for this fund is remarkably flat, no deep V shaped returns.  As with most things in my life, let’s see how ends up.

added May’s distributions to cash and bought

8,000 shares of GAVAX @ $14.36

cash = $232,303.89

Sorry, chang, but I don't understand why you are posting on this thread. You are obviously not a participant in the 2020 Challenge according to Rich's latest monthly listing (see above).

What is the purpose of your post? Either you follow the rules of this Challenge as outlined by Rich, or maybe you should consider starting your own contest on another thread.

At this point, "See you on 12/31" is wishful thinking, nobody cares unless you play by the same rules as everyone else.

See my post on Page 1 of this thread, on Jan. 1, 2020. What rules did I break? Is it not allowed to buy a portfolio on 1/1 and hold it all year long? If so, my apologies. I did not intend to do any trading: I set my portfolio on 1/1 to last 365 days.

My 2-stock B&H portfolio is outperforming everyone else’s. Sorry about that @fred495.
