Upcoming Case Portal Enhancements

Please take a few minutes to review the upcoming enhancements to the Morningstar Case Portal

We’ve been working to improve the design and functionality of the Morningstar Case Portal. With the enhanced User Interface, users will be able to submit and manage cases more efficiently and communicate with our Support Team more effectively.

Here is a snapshot of what’s to come:

Better Manage Your Cases

  • The new case dashboard will allow users to search for previously submitted cases by ID, Subject, and StatusDashboard.png

     

More Intuitive Case Routing

  • The new case submission page includes a dropdown menu which allows you to specify which product you need assistance with. Product Dropdown.png

     

  • Here are the definitions for each Morningstar product supported by the Community:
    • ByAllAccounts: Our data account aggregation service to help track client holdings, dividends, and returns
    • Data Feeds: Global equity, managed investments, and market data from all major global exchanges with flexible distribution options
    • Morningstar Direct: Our cloud-based investment analysis platform built for asset management and financial services professionals
    • Market Data: Third-party data re-packaged by Morningstar with global coverage and flexible delivery options
    • Morningstar.com: The investor source for timely analysis on stocks, funds, and markets, plus tools for portfolio management
    • Morningstar Office: A web-based portfolio and practice management platform for independent financial advisors, with performance reporting and back-office services
    • Enterprise Components: Configurable, ready-to-integrate enterprise software tools for research, portfolio analysis, and retirement plan management
    • Morningstar Essentials: A toolkit for marketers to enhance their programs with industry-standard statistics and ratings recognized by investors and advisors worldwide
    • Equity/Fund Research: A high-tiered service which directly connects clients with Morningstar Analysts on investment research
    • Equity Data Products: A feed which specifically collects and distributes data on global equities.

  • We have added written instructions and tips on how to submit casesInstruction.png

     

  • We renamed the case statues to help you better track case progress. Below are the definitions to each status:
    • Awaiting Support: the case has not yet been worked on. Brand new cases that come into the Case Portal are “Awaiting Support”
    • In Progress: an agent is working on the case
    • Pending Your Response: the case is waiting for a response back from the customer
    • Escalated: the case has been escalated to our technical team
    • Validating Resolution: Morningstar is validating that your issue has been resolved
    • Closed: the case is closed and a resolution was provided
